Denied At The Death

2 - 2
West Brom

Attendance: 44,147

West Brom's Premier League season continued with a draw against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.

Ahead of the game if you had offered West Brom a point at Liverpool I don't think too many would have turned this down, but having comeback from a goal down to lead deep into injury-time a two-two draw might be a slight disappointment for Albion in the end?

Liverpool took an early lead through Jordan Henderson, rounding off a good move with a fine finished but an error from 'keeper Simon Mignolet allowed Craig Dawson to level it up with half an hour played.

West Brom weren't happy, to say the least, when an offside flag denied Jonas Olsson a goal to have them ahead at the break but Olsson did do this is the second half to have Albion set for a win until Liverpool sub Divock Origi scored with a deflected effort in the 95th-minute.

These were the other results.

Saturday 12th December 2015
Norwich 1-1 Everton
Crystal Palace 1-0 Southampton
Man City 2-1 Swansea
Sunderland 0-1 Watford
West Ham 0-0 Stoke
Bournemouth 2-1 Man Utd

Sunday 13th December 2015
Aston Villa 0-2 Arsenal
Liverpool 2-2 West Brom
Tottenham 1-2 Newcastle

This game is played tonight.

Monday 14th December 2015
Leicester v Chelsea 20:00

Looking at these results (despite some interesting ones) the stand out ones (so far) have to be wins for Bournemouth and Newcastle against Man United and Spurs, respectively?

At Dean Court on Saturday Bournemouth secured that two-one win over Man United meaning the Cherries followed up the win at Chelsea (on the Monday) with a win against United in under a week!

It wasn't a bad week for Newcastle either as the two-matches Steve McClaren apparently had to save his job resulted in wins! A win against Liverpool (at home the Sunday before) was followed up with a comeback win to see off Spurs two-one at White Hart Lane.
