All Change At West Brom

All Change At West Brom

West Bromwich Albion have this afternoon confirmed that both Chairman John Williams and Chief Executive Martin Goodman have been placed on gardening leave with immediate effect.

The changes at senior level of management at the club mean both have been given 'notice of termination of their contracts' and whilst that notice is played out they are on gardening leave for the foreseeable future.

Having been recently appointed as director of WBA Holdings, our controlling company, Mark Jenkins now returns to the club and takes up the position of Chief Executive Officer.

The changes are no doubt related to our ongoing poor form this year that leaves relegation highly likely if not probable as we sit in bottom spot in the Premier League table.

Jenkins of course has been there and worn the t-shirt previously at The Hawthorns as he spent many of his 14 years as CEO previously whilst we were in the top flight.

He told

'There is much to do but for now the focus must solely be on the remaining games of the season.'

The statement states no further comment will be made by the club at this point, but a spokesperson did offer.

'We would like to thank John and Martin for all their efforts since their appointments and wish them well for the future.'
