No Charge For Livermore

No Charge For Livermore

The Football Association have confirmed that West Bromwich Albion midfielder Jake Livermore will face no action following the West Ham game.

The match took place at the London Stadium earlier this month and Livermore was involved in an angry exchange with a fan following the 28 year old's substitution in the two one loss.

Later that evening reports emerged suggesting that the fan had allegedly made a reference to the death of Livermore's infant son back in 2014 and that was what led to the incident.

Having investigated and spoken to both clubs, the FA do not believe it is appropriate to launch formal action against the England man given the sensitivities involved.

He has however been reminder of his responsibilities as a professional and to not enter the supporters' area in the future.

The FA have also been assured by West Ham that the fan in question has been identified, and they are dealing with the situation - they said earlier this month that a life time ban would be issued.
