Reactions - Swansea v West Brom (9/12/17)

Following today's clash between Swansea City and West Bromwich Albion, here are the instant reactions from both managers.

Swansea City hosted West Bromwich Albion at the Liberty Stadium for a 3pm kick off on Saturday December 9, with a late goal from Wilfried Bony being enough to deliver all three points to the hosts and lift themselves off the bottom of the Premier League table..

Although Swansea picked up their first win since October, Alan Pardew's second game in charge ended with defeat and takes West Brom's run to 14 games without victory.

Fabianski, Naughton, van der Hoorn, Mawson, Olsson, Ki Sung-yueng, Mesa, Carroll (Abraham 76), Routledge (Ayew 56), Bony, Dyer (Narsingh 65).

Fer, Clucas, Mulder, Fernandez.

West Brom:

Foster, Nyom, Hegazi, Evans, Gibbs, Livermore, Yacob, Field (McClean 45), Robson-Kanu (Burke 78), Rondon, Rodriguez (Brunt 82).

Myhill, Krychowiak, McAuley, Tulloch.

Speaking to the BBC's cameras a short time after match day referee Mike Dean blew the final whistle, Swansea City head coach Paul Clement explained.

'It was a really important result today. As everyone knows we have been struggling for form and performances and results have not been good enough. The players have given everything today. There has been frustration in the club that we have not performed how we are capable of. But we did what was needed to be done. The timing of the goal put us in a great position.'

West Bromwich Albion head coach Alan Pardew in his comparitive interview explained.

'I think we deserved something as the away side. We struggled to create clear-cut chances but we had a great few chances on the break. We didn't take them and lacked a bit of conviction. There was nothing between the two teams really. We can't question the commitment. We just need that bit of quality. That final moment, final pass or decision, it just let us down.'
