Livermore's Positive + Injury Update

Livermore's Positive + Injury Update

England midfielder Jake Livermore as said West Bromwich Albion more than have the quality to climb the table under new manager Alan Pardew.

West Brom continue to sit in 17th place in the Premier League table following Pardew's first game and first point in charge against Crystal Palace at the weekend, and Livermore insisted to wba.co.uk that we had the quality in the group to see ourselves through the hectic festive schedule and then push on in the new year.

'The lads want to do well for each other, for the fans, for our own families, for the backroom staff - we want to do well for everyone. The new manager has come in and he`s been fantastic. He has shown the positivity he wants us to show - he`s shown the belief that he`s got in us to go forward. It`s not panic stations just yet! We have some great players in the dressing room and some great staff as well. We`ve definitely got enough to get ourselves up the league.'

As for a brief injury update, Alan Pardew was asked whether some would return for the trip to the Liberty Stadium and he revealed that Craig Dawson was making 'excellent progress' but Gareth Barry was now nursing a thigh injury although it wasn't believed to be serious.

Nacer Chadli and James Morrison remain on course for a pre Christmas return but for next weekend we should have Matt Phillips and Chris Brunt back to bolster the group.

'Hopefully we are going to see Phillips back and hopefully see Brunty back as well. It would be nice for Brunty to be back, in terms of being just around the team, because his delivery from set plays is one of the main reasons Albion had a great record at scoring from those. I`ve got to say we were disappointing from set plays against Palace and that`s something we can improve immediately.'
