WBA Announce Premier League Asia Trophy Squad

West Bromwich Albion have today announced their squad for the Premier League Asia Trophy tournament.

We head to Hong Kong for the pre season tournament warm up and this year the competition involves Liverpool, Leicester City and Crystal Palace.

We face Leicester in the opening match next Wednesday at 11am UK time, and will face Crystal Palace or Liverpool in either the final or the third/fourth placed play off the following Saturday.

The trip for Albion comes 39 years after we became the first English professional side to travel to China.

Gareth McAuley is out of the squad and he will remain at the training ground preparing for the coming campaign as he continues to recover from a thigh injury sustained on international action with Northern Ireland and James Morrison misses the trip following the bereavement of a close friend.

Jonny Evans has been handed the captain's armband for the trip following the departure of Darren Fletcher.
